Information We Collect
Website and Waitlist Information
When you visit our website or join the waitlist, we may collect your name, phone number, email address if provided, referral information, survey responses, communication preferences, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring page, timestamps, and basic usage or diagnostic information.
Our website uses Vercel for hosting and Vercel Analytics for aggregate website measurement. We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels or use website activity for targeted advertising.
Account and Authentication Information
If you create a Dime account, we may collect account identifiers, login and authentication metadata, profile details, settings, preferences, and security events. Supabase provides Dime's authentication and database infrastructure.
Financial Information
If you choose to connect a financial account, Dime receives information you authorize through Plaid. Depending on the accounts and permissions you select, this may include institution and account names, account types, short display masks, balances, transactions and transaction history, merchant and category information, connection status, and authorization metadata.
Dime does not receive the credentials you enter directly into Plaid Link. Dime does not store full account or routing numbers as product data. Plaid access tokens are encrypted before database storage and are not provided to AI models.
Messages and Communications
When you communicate with Dime by text message, email, a support channel, or a survey, we may collect your contact details, message content, attachments you choose to provide, communication preferences, opt-in and opt-out information, and delivery or support metadata. Sensitive messaging fields are encrypted before database storage.
Ask Dime and AI-Assisted Features
When you use Ask Dime or another AI-assisted feature, we may collect your prompt, Dime's response, relevant financial facts or summaries used to answer the request, citations, prompt fingerprints, and safety, verification, and reliability metadata.
Dime's backend—not the model—controls authentication, authorization, deterministic calculations, persistence, redaction, and answer verification. Model providers receive redacted prompts and limited, same-user context selected for the request. They do not receive Plaid tokens, bank credentials, full account or routing numbers, Dime service credentials, or an unbounded copy of your transaction history through Dime's approved model path.
Information From Service Providers
We may receive information from providers that help us operate Dime, including Plaid, Supabase, Vercel, SendBlue, OpenRouter, and OpenAI. The providers used for a particular feature may change as Dime develops. We assess providers before allowing them to process sensitive information and limit the information they receive to what is needed for their role.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve Dime.
- Manage the waitlist, referrals, beta invitations, and accounts.
- Connect the financial accounts you authorize and keep those connections reliable.
- Monitor financial activity, identify relevant patterns or opportunities, and provide personalized insights.
- Answer questions, support citations and calculations, and verify AI-assisted responses.
- Send waitlist, product, service, security, and marketing communications consistent with your choices.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Diagnose errors, measure aggregate website and product usage, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Enforce our Terms and comply with legal, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.
Dime does not use connected financial data to execute financial actions or make final decisions for you.
Plaid and Connected Accounts
Dime uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to let you connect financial accounts and share the financial information you authorize. Plaid is a separate company with its own practices, described in Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
Connecting an account is optional. Visiting Dime's website, joining the waitlist, or creating an account does not authorize access to your financial accounts. When you choose to connect an account, Plaid Link identifies the connection purpose and requested data. You select the institution, accounts, and permissions to share.
You may disconnect a linked financial account through Dime where that control is available. U.S. users may also use Plaid Portal to view and manage eligible Plaid connections or request deletion from Plaid. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection, but information previously received by Dime is handled under the retention and deletion practices below.
Text Messages and Your Consent
If you provide a mobile number and affirmatively consent, Dime may send recurring automated text messages about your waitlist status, beta invitation, account or service activity, financial insights, security, and Dime product updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a Dime text or by contacting info@dimecfo.com. You may reply HELP for help. We may send one non-marketing message confirming an opt-out request. Opting out of texts may limit features that depend on text messaging but does not prevent you from contacting us through another available channel.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to:
- Service providers that host, store, transmit, secure, monitor, support, or help operate Dime.
- Plaid and the financial institutions you choose when needed to establish and maintain your authorized connection.
- AI providers that process redacted prompts and bounded context for an AI-assisted feature.
- Communication providers that deliver text messages, email, and support communications.
- Professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers.
- Government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of Dime.
- A buyer, successor, or other participant in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use connected financial information to serve targeted ads.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide Dime, maintain an authorized account connection, honor communication choices, protect security, respond to requests, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
Retention depends on the information and why it is needed. Waitlist information is generally kept until you withdraw, request deletion, or it is no longer needed for the waitlist or beta program. Account and connected financial information is generally kept while your account or connection is active. Security, consent, support, and transaction records may be kept longer when needed to demonstrate authorization, prevent fraud, investigate incidents, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims. De-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for product analysis.
You may request that Dime disconnect Plaid access, delete financial or messaging information, or delete your account by emailing info@dimecfo.com. We may verify your identity before acting. We generally aim to acknowledge a verified request within three business days, stop new Plaid access within seven days where operationally possible, and complete deletion from primary systems within 30 days, unless a legal obligation, security need, dispute, or other permitted exception requires retention. Backup and disaster-recovery copies may take longer to expire and will remain protected while retained.
Plaid maintains its own retention and deletion practices. See Plaid's End User Privacy Policy for current details.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include access controls, multi-factor authentication for critical systems, least-privilege production access, encryption in transit and at rest, application-level encryption for Plaid tokens and sensitive messaging fields, server-side authorization, logging restrictions, vendor review, incident-response procedures, and recurring access and risk reviews.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your devices, email, phone number, and Dime account and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may:
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in an email.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Disconnect a financial account through Dime or manage eligible connections through Plaid Portal.
- Ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by contacting us.
- Control browser storage and similar technologies through your browser settings.
- Exercise any additional privacy rights available where you live.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision.
Even after you opt out of marketing, we may send non-marketing messages such as security, account, legal, or service notices where permitted.
Children's Privacy
Dime is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Dime, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
United States Operations
Dime is operated from the United States and currently intended for users in the United States. If you access Dime from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.
