These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dime's website, waitlist, accounts, applications, text messages, AI-assisted features, connected-account features, and related products and services. Dime is a service of Aretian LLC ("Aretian," "Dime," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using Dime, creating an account, joining the waitlist, connecting a financial account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Dime.
If you use Dime on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Dime. Dime is currently intended for users in the United States.
3. What Dime Does
Dime is a read-only personal finance product that helps you understand financial activity, identify patterns and opportunities, and receive relevant information. Dime may provide monitoring, summaries, calculations, simulations, reminders, suggestions, and AI-assisted responses based on available information and the preferences you provide.
Dime does not move money, execute trades, open accounts, apply for credit, cancel services, contact merchants, make purchases, or take autonomous financial action for you. If Dime offers an action-taking feature in the future, it will require separate terms and an explicit authorization flow.
4. No Professional Advice
Dime is not a bank, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, credit counselor, insurance producer, or financial planner. Dime does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, credit, insurance, or other regulated professional advice.
Information, analysis, projections, simulations, and suggestions from Dime are for informational purposes. They are not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for verifying important information, considering your full circumstances, and making your own financial decisions.
Dime does not guarantee that you will save money, improve your credit, reduce debt, increase investment returns, avoid fees, qualify for a product, or achieve any particular result.
5. AI-Assisted Features
Dime may use AI-assisted features to answer questions, summarize information, identify patterns, and explain financial context. AI-assisted outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation, even when they include citations or pass automated checks.
You should verify important information before relying on it. Dime does not use AI to make final decisions or execute financial actions on your behalf.
6. Accounts and Security
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials, devices, email account, and mobile number and for activity under your account. Promptly notify us at info@dimecfo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised, violates these Terms or law, or creates risk for Dime, its users, or its service providers.
7. Connected Financial Accounts
Dime uses Plaid to let you connect eligible financial accounts. Connecting is optional. By completing the Plaid Link authorization flow, you direct Plaid to share the accounts and data you select with Dime and authorize Dime to use that information to provide the features you request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you own or have authority to connect each account you link. You must not connect another person's account without permission.
Information from a financial institution or data provider may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, duplicated, or categorized incorrectly. Dime is not responsible for third-party outages, errors, or omissions outside our reasonable control. Disconnecting an account may limit features that depend on that information.
8. Text Message Terms and Consent
When you provide a mobile number, affirmatively check the text-message consent box, and submit the form, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Aretian LLC, doing business as Dime, at the number you provide. Messages may concern your waitlist status, beta invitation, account or service activity, financial insights, security, and Dime product updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the number provided and are authorized to consent. You agree to notify us if the number changes or is reassigned.
You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a Dime text or contacting info@dimecfo.com. You may reply HELP for help. We may send one non-marketing message confirming an opt-out request. Your mobile carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Availability may depend on your carrier and device.
Opting out of texts may limit Dime features that rely on text messaging. It does not withdraw other permissions you have separately granted, disconnect a financial account, or delete your Dime account. Those choices are described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information and describes available choices. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy conflict about our privacy practices, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.
10. Permitted Use
You may use Dime only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing. You agree not to:
- Violate law or these Terms.
- Connect an account you do not own or have authority to access.
- Submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harmful, or abusive content.
- Interfere with Dime's operation, security, or service providers.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, systems, or networks.
- Circumvent access controls, usage limits, security controls, or eligibility rules.
- Upload malware, conduct credential attacks, or test Dime's security without written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, copy, reverse engineer, or extract Dime except as permitted by law or written agreement.
- Use Dime or its output to build a competing product or to make unlawful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or harmful decisions.
11. Your Content and Feedback
You may submit prompts, preferences, messages, support requests, files, feedback, and other content. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for it. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.
You grant Dime a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, and use your content as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve Dime, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Dime.
If you provide ideas or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
12. Third-Party Services
Dime relies on third-party services, including financial institutions, Plaid, authentication and database providers, hosting providers, AI providers, communication providers, and security tools. Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy policies. Dime is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, including their availability, accuracy, or independent decisions.
13. Waitlist, Beta, and Early Access
Waitlist, beta, pilot, preview, and early access features may be experimental, incomplete, unavailable, changed, limited, or discontinued. Joining the waitlist is free and does not guarantee access, timing, pricing, or any specific feature. Beta features may contain bugs or limitations.
14. Fees
If Dime offers a paid feature, we will disclose its price and any applicable billing, renewal, cancellation, tax, and refund terms before you purchase. You will not be charged merely for joining the waitlist.
15. Intellectual Property
Aretian and its licensors own Dime and its software, designs, interfaces, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, workflows, documentation, and other materials, excluding your content. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Dime for its intended purpose.
16. Disclaimers
Dime is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aretian disclaims all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Dime will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, current, or available at a particular time or location. We do not warrant that financial data, categories, calculations, insights, AI outputs, simulations, or suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aretian and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, including lost profits, savings, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising from or related to Dime or these Terms, even if advised that such damages are possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Aretian and the other parties listed above for claims arising from or related to Dime or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Dime for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
18. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aretian and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your unlawful or unauthorized use of Dime, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person's rights, or your unauthorized connection of a financial account. This section does not require you to indemnify any party for its own unlawful conduct and applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
19. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Dime at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, used Dime unlawfully, compromised security, failed to pay an amount due, or created material risk, or if we discontinue the service.
Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect after termination, including those concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, disputes, and governing law. Information retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to Dime or These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Dime. We may update these Terms as Dime develops or as our practices or legal obligations change. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required by law. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that applicable consumer-protection law in your place of residence may also apply. Any dispute may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law.
22. General Terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Aretian regarding Dime unless additional terms apply to a feature you use. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
